Meet the Team

Kayla Toews, RDH
Kayla’s journey with our practice began in 2016 — when she literally ran into the parade to meet Dr. Roper and introduce herself. Her heart for people and commitment to the community have made her an irreplaceable part of our team ever since.
A practicing hygienist since 2012, Kayla began noticing patterns between chronic health issues and oral dysfunction — especially related to breathing habits. That curiosity sparked a calling. She completed a 12-week intensive program in myofunctional therapy and continues her education through study clubs, advanced hygiene courses, and training with The Schuster Center and the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health.
She brings deep compassion and clinical skill to every patient interaction. Outside of the office, Kayla serves on the board of The River Center and enjoys running, paddle boarding, and camping with her husband Wes and their kids, Liam and Harper.

Johana Medina, RDH
Johana believes great care begins with a great question: What do you want your health to look like — now and in the future?
With years of experience in both hygiene and health coaching, Johana creates a calm, collaborative space for patients to feel heard and supported. She has a gift for turning complex information into personalized, step-by-step plans — and helping patients understand how their oral health connects to their whole-body wellbeing.
Johana continues her education through advanced training with The Schuster Center and the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. She is also pursuing lactation consultant certification to support families more holistically.
Originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico, Johana is fluent in Spanish and always happy to help bridge language gaps for our patients. She enjoys exploring new places, trying new foods, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Luis, and their two daughters, Julieta and Luciana.

Allison Blazer-Luna
Allie is often the first voice you’ll hear and the first smile you’ll see when you call or walk through our doors. With a background in dental and medical assisting, as well as front office management, she brings a deep understanding of both clinical care and compassionate service. She’s a natural problem-solver and a strong advocate for each of our patients, helping make your experience smooth, informed, and supportive from start to finish.
Originally from Denver, Allie is fluent in Spanish — a skill she developed while living in Nicaragua. She’s also the most well-traveled member of our team, having lived in multiple countries and communities around the world. Her curiosity and care for others make her an integral part of our practice.
Outside the office, Allie enjoys cycling, cooking, and interior design. She and her husband, Raul, love spending time with their son, Harper, who keeps them smiling and on their toes.

Angela Dunn
Angela has been a valued member of our team since the beginning, working behind the scenes to ensure that every detail of the patient experience runs smoothly. After stepping away from the office for the birth of her daughter, Noelle, she continued supporting our team remotely — and we’re thrilled to welcome her back in person soon.
Angela brings more than just administrative expertise. As a lifelong runner, high school cross-country coach, and founder of a mindset-based coaching business, she’s passionate about helping people unlock their potential and find strength in persistence. She believes deeply in guiding others through challenges with compassion, perspective, and purpose — values that align beautifully with our practice philosophy.
Whether she’s helping a patient feel seen and supported or coaching a young athlete toward their goals, Angela brings energy, empathy, and excellence to everything she does.
